Chris has lived in Denver since 2004. For as long as he can remember, he has run through woods, climbed mountains, and pitched tents. He became an expert in running with a jogging stroller and decided to offer his acquired proficiency to a larger crowd of local parents.
He earned a PhD in Neuroscience at UCSD. This is his first publication outside the realm of science. He notes that scientific research is almost as much fun as doing outdoors research for this book (although it usually does not keep him in such good shape).
Chris met his wife Debbie while studying in San Diego. They currently live in Applewood (Wheat Ridge) with their two kids.
